With a background in small business, Bill Kennedy developed and operated successful full-line grocery stores, a footwear/clothing/outdoor retail shop, and a Sears dealer franchise in the Chase-Shuswap area. After liquidating his commercial business operations in the Chase/Shuswap area in 2009, he became an independent loss adjuster, working for a boutique adjusting firm in Kamloops, B.C. His adjusting career took him all over the province, investigating and settling insurance claims of every variety for dozens of different insurers from across Canada and abroad. 

In 2019, Bill started his financial planning practice with IG Wealth Management. He and his team at Kennedy & Associates have 35+ years of combined experience, providing holistic financial planning for more than 200 business owners and high net worth families. They help clients by developing and maintaining unique and flexible wealth management strategies that address immediate needs and long-term goals, including tax & estate planning. 

Since moving to Chase in the mid-90s, Bill has been involved with many community groups, including the Chase and District Chamber of Commerce, and The Chase Rec Society as a founding member. With four sons involved heavily in baseball and hockey, Bill has been involved as a coach and volunteer with Kamloops Minor Hockey and Kamloops Minor Baseball, as well as Chase Minor Hockey and Chase Minor Baseball, and the Chase Heat Junior Hockey Club. 

Kennedy & Associates organizes and hosts the IG Walk for Alzheimer’s in Chase each spring. In 2023 IG Wealth Management raised over $6.2 million in their efforts across Canada.
